Rooted & Growing: Inside Our Nature Makers Inspiration & Wellbeing Retreat 2026

This weekend, the Nature Makers team came together for something that sits right at the heart of what makes our franchise network special, our Inspiration & Wellbeing Retreat.

A day to step away from the day-to-day running of our businesses, spend time together, learn from one another and look ahead to the next chapter of Nature Makers.

And what a day it was!

Creativity, connection and plenty of inspiration

We started the day where we all love best... outside!

Through grounding, meditation and time in nature, we reflected on three things:

what we want to protect, what we're ready to shed and what we want to grow.

From there, the day brought together wellbeing, creativity, business development and plenty of peer-to-peer learning.

We shared practical skills through terrarium making and quilling workshops, exchanged some of our favourite Nature Makers activities and successful ideas, and pooled the knowledge and experience that exists across our franchise network.

Because one of the greatest benefits of being part of a franchise is that you don't have to build your business alone.

When somebody discovers something that works, we can learn from it.

When someone develops a brilliant new idea, it can inspire others and when someone faces a challenge, there is a whole network of people who understand the business and can help.

The next chapter of Nature Makers

We also spent time looking at where Nature Makers is going next.

What began with children's nature classes has grown into something much bigger:

a natural wellbeing business using nature, creativity and mindfulness to support people throughout their lives.

Our franchisees now have opportunities to develop their businesses across our three areas:

🌿 Grow & Learn — wellbeing within schools, nurseries and education

🌿 Calm & Connect — mindful creative experiences for adults, older people, care settings, communities and organisations

The exciting part is that nobody has to do everything.

Each franchisee can look at their own territory, strengths and ambitions and decide where they want to grow.

During the retreat we explored local partnerships, the organisations we'd love Nature Makers to work with and how we can continue building sustainable businesses that create both income and meaningful impact within our communities.

Rooted in what matters. Growing what is possible.

We finished the day looking ahead.

What could our individual Nature Makers businesses look like this time next year?

I want Nature Makers franchisees to love the work they bring into their communities and I also want them to think like business owners by spotting opportunities, developing partnerships, creating multiple revenue streams and building something they are genuinely proud of.

Our Inspiration & Wellbeing Retreat was a beautiful reminder that we're doing that together.
